Envisioning a bike that empowers riders to cut through all terrain and trails, Greencycle launches TRAILBLADE, its first electric mountain bike, to enter the high-end electric mountain bike market segment. TRAILBLADE was born to cater to those who are financially capable of paying higher prices for an eMTB, adopt an active riding style and enjoy varied rides in different terrains. The project aims to create a product identity and a teaser video that carries adventurous and playful personalities and inspires riders to push hard, up and downhill.

Visualisation
To capture the excitement and exhilaration associated with the sport, the identity design carries a bold, edgy and dynamic look, embodying the daring nature of the sport. The use of machinery reference allows the visuals to embrace the electric motor’s propulsion, contributing to the playful and enhanced riding experience.

Colour Palette
The use of black and white adds sophistication and significance to the identity. Positioned as a company specialising in innovative technology, Greencycle uses a monochromatic colour palette to enable the audience to focus on the essential components and creative solutions implemented on the bikes.

Logo design
The logomark uses a blocky display font with bold and angular strokes to symbolise the adventurous and daring characteristics of mountain biking while maintaining the clean and professional look of an established and respected bike maker brand.

Typography
The headings use a bold and condensed typeface, Thunder, to add more volume to the messaging. The juxtaposition between the positive and negative space within the typeface creates energy and dynamism in the identity design and the teaser video.

Video approach
The quick pacing of the video captures the sense of speed and exhilaration that riders experience with mountain biking. The integration of individual video footage showing incomplete and closeup imagery of the bike enables it to build anticipation. It creates a hook that entices viewers to come to the website to learn more about the product, which, in turn, helps drive traffic.
