Intro
Taste of Spring is a set of red envelopes designed for Lunar New Year, featuring illustrations inspired by traditional Southern Vietnamese dishes.
Challenge
For this Visual Communication I class project, the goal was to create graphics that reflect the cultural richness of the festival foods used in Lunar New Year celebrations. The challenge was to capture the essence and holiday spirit of these traditional dishes while incorporating them into a modern, visually appealing design for red envelopes.
Solution
The design uses minimal line art to create a clean, contemporary look, with dynamic compositions and a vibrant color palette that bring a cheerful, festive feel to each envelope. Each design highlights one of five iconic dishes, symbolizing the warmth and cultural values behind the holiday traditions.
